Can I set up events in my community?

Yes. Events come with Studio. Each event is made inside a space, as a live call in its own room or a meet-up in person, and the space’s members see it.

Events you made for your whole community before stay listed on the Spaces home, under For your whole community.
Events come with Studio Without Studio, **Spaces** shows **Upgrade to Studio**. Press it, and Spaces opens the moment your Studio plan starts ([What is Spaces, and how do I get it?](/learn/what-is-spaces)).

  1. Open Community, then Spaces

    Spaces is under the grey BUILD heading. With Studio there is no Events in the menu, because each event belongs to a space. On a phone, press the menu button at the top right first.

  2. Make a space if you have none

    Start with Maya shapes it with you, Start with Claude does the same with your own Claude, and Set it up myself opens the form (making a space). If you have a space already, press it instead.

  3. Open your space and press Live

    Live is at the top of the space, beside its other parts.

  4. Press Add an event

    It sits under Next live session.

  5. Choose A live call here or Meet in person, then press Next

    Meet in person is a place and a time, like a coffee or a walk, and people say if they are coming.

  6. Fill it in and press Schedule it or Add the meetup

    A live call ends with Schedule it, and Meet in person with Add the meetup. For the same call every week, set Repeat to Every week (a weekly call, step by step).

You will know it worked whenthe event is listed on the space’s Live, and its members see it in the space and in their calendar.

Can I approve new members before they get into my community?

Yes. Switch on approval and anyone who asks to join waits in a Requests list in Members until you let them in, the way a private LinkedIn or Facebook group works. People you invite, and people who pay, still go straight in. About five minutes to set up.

Can I change a member's post before I approve it?

No. A post waiting for your approval can only be approved or rejected, so you cannot change a member's words. If a few words need changing, approve it and add a comment, or message the member and reject it.

Can I change the words in the posts Maya wrote before I approve them?

Yes. Open the post from Drafts on your Feed, press Edit, change the words and press Save changes. What you save is what goes out when you approve it. About a minute.
